Biography:
Nicholas Davis grew up in the small community of Frisco, Texas, back when the population consisted of only 1,200 people, and two police cars patrolled the entire community. Mr. Davis enjoyed all the benefits of growing up in a small town. In 1999, Mr. Davis graduated from Frisco High School, as did fellow classmate and childhood friend Bill Kennedy. Frisco High School was the only high school in town at that time.

Later Mr. Davis enrolled in Texas A&M University where he majored in political science and minored in sociology. While at the university Mr. Davis involved himself with student government, whose purpose was to help improve A&M campus life. Always one to speak his mind, Mr. Davis was hired by the Texas A&M University Newspaper “The Battalion” as an opinion columnist where he wrote weekly articles. On more than one occasion these articles sparked tremendous debate throughout the campus.

After earning his undergraduate degree, Mr. Davis accepted a scholarship to attend Texas Tech School of Law where he began his legal career. Knowing from the start that he wanted to be a litigator, Mr. Davis enrolled in classes to prepare him for the courtroom and began competing against other law students in Mock Trial Competitions.

In addition to attending law school, Mr. Davis served as a Teen Court Judge in Lubbock, assessing punishments and probation for Lubbock Teens. He also became a certified mediator and mediated civil disputes, co-founded the Texas Tech School of Law Alzheimer’s Association, wrote articles for the Texas Tech Alumni magazine, and chaired the North Texas Volunteer Student Attorney Program which assisted indigent families with legal problems within the west Texas region.

During his final year in law school Mr. Davis earned law school credit working for the Northern District United States Bankruptcy Judge, Robert L. Jones. Likewise, Mr. Davis served as a student attorney in the Texas Tech School of Law Tax Clinic Program where he represented indigent individuals in the North Texas community against the Internal Revenue Service to help reduce tax liabilities.

After being licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, Mr. Davis worked for a small firm in Plano where he handled bankruptcy, family law, and general civil litigation matters. However, Mr. Davis’ entrepreneurial ambitions lead him to leave the firm and establish his own law practice where he focuses primarily on the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense.

Eventually, Mr. Davis reunited with his long-time friend, Bill Kennedy of NNK Legal Group, and Mr. Davis now handles the Family Law and Criminal Defense matters for the firm on an “of counsel” basis. Roughly 85% of Mr. Davis’ practice is dedicated to litigation work in the areas of divorce matters, child custody cases, child support collections, and child custody and support modifications, DWI Defense, and other Criminal Matters.

Throughout the years, Mr. Davis has developed a passion to fight for those who are taken advantage of and abused by big businesses, by their spouses or by law enforcement personnel. Above all, Mr. Davis detests those individuals who refuse to pay child support and take part in the tremendous challenge of raising their children. Mr. Davis enjoys relentlessly pursuing these “dead beat” parents in order to provide the hard working custodial parent the financial relief they deserve.
