Torts

Torts are civil wrongs, which result in damage or harm. Torts are recognized by the law as the basis for lawsuits to remedy or mitigate the damage or harm caused to the injured party. Torts can be intentional or unintentional and the recovery can vary according to the type of tort as well as the degree of resulting harm. Some examples of torts are assault, battery, negligence, and trespassing, negligent infliction of emotional distress, intentional infliction of emotional distress, conversion and products liability.
