Construction Accidents

Unfortunately, construction accidents seriously injure, and sometimes kill a large number of people per year. Texas law requires that employers have Workers Compensation Insurance, so that an injured employee will be compensated. This means the injured employee is barred from suing his employer for the accident. However, if the employer does not have Worker’s Compensation Insurance, then the employee can sue the employer for damages pertaining to his or her injuries. Additionally, an injured employee may have a claim against another contractor or company for negligence.

If you have been injured while working on a construction project, you may be eligible for compensation. Construction accidents can involve falls, complicated equipment, power lines, fires and explosions, builder neglect and/or OSHA non-compliance.

Laws regarding workplace accidents are often very technical. If you or someone you know has been hurt in a construction accident, call NNK Legal Group for a free initial consultation.
